Hannah Montana aka Miley Cyrus Apologizes To Fans (Parents Who Control Purse Strings)

Courtesy crazytales562. Now that bedding is something to be embarrassed about.

Miley Cyrus issued an “apology” for photos and a story published in Vanity Fair yesterday. According to Ms. Cyrus’ statement:

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Cyrus said in a statement her publicist released. “I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans, who I care so deeply about.”

Press release journalism at its finest! Let’s breakdown what’s going on here. Miley Cyrus aka “Hannah Montana” was so “embarrassed” by photos taken by world famous photographer Annie Leibovitz that Disney Channel spokesman Patti McTeauge issue a statement stating:

Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.

That’s right. At a photo shoot attended by Miley’s mother, father and eight-year-old sister, she was “deliberately manipulated” into poses that she now finds embarrassing.

Is it possible that Miley Cyrus and her employer are more worried about a potential backlash from parents that could harm their bottom lines?

Bottom Line: MediaHerd is not completely jaded, but enjoys reading articles from the media herd that report, verbatim, statements released by celebrity publicists because it indicates that the media herd simply found the story too salacious to pass up!
